Concrete Color Collections: Purple

Hello everyone! 

I came up with this idea for a new blog 'series', and you guys seemed to think it was a great idea when I posted it on Facebook. In case you missed it, I will be going through the ENTIRE Concrete Minerals collection, and posting swatches and photos of the shadows in each color. (Purples, Greens, Blues, etc) So you guys can see the shades side by side. Because I am the eye model for CM, I do own the entire current collection, not including shadows that were discontinued or limited edition before the website was re-vamped. Since I have all of them, I figured I can use that to help YOU decide on your favorite shades! I decided to start with purple, (one of my personal favorite colors of all time).

Hello everyone! 

So I haven't been very active over on Makeupbee.com in a while, when I headed over there the other night I noticed they're having another Sugarpill themed contest! I thought this was just my chance to start creating looks over there again! Partially inspired by the new Illamasqua 'Speckled' theme they've got going on over there, I love everything about it!
So here's what I came up with!

Products Used:

• Urban Decay Primer Potion
• NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
• Sugarpill eyeshadows in Mochi, Acidberry, Poision Plum, and Flamepoint
• Sleek Acid Palette
• Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Liner in Perversion
• Lime Crime Uniliners in Rhyme and Reason
• Sugarpill Charlotte Lashes

Steps:

1. Apply UDPP all over lid, up to brow bone. Once dry, apply NYX jumbo pencil in milk all over lid, also to brow bone.
2. Apply Mochi all over lid
3. Apply Acidberry in crease, and carry all the way to the inner corner
4. Apply neon yellow from the Acid palette in the inner corner, use this color to blend out Acidberry as well.
5. Use white from Acid palette under brow bone as a highlight
6. Line eyes with UD Liquid liner in perversion
7. Use LC Liner in Rhyme (silver) to add the dots, and create the 'speckled' look
8. Apply Flamepoint eyeshadow to lower eyelid
9. Apply Poison Plum to waterline
10. Coat bottom lashes with LC Liner in Reason (gold)
11. Apply Flash lashes

Updates, and GIVEAWAY!

Hello everybody! I can't believe it's been since December since I've posted! Where has time gone! x.x

The New Eyes of Concrete Minerals

A week or so ago, something amazing happened to me. I got an email, from a beloved indie makeup company, Concrete Minerals . I've posted about them plenty of times here, there, and everywhere! They're an amazing company, always thinking of their customers, and always looking to improve themselves. Upon receiving the email, I was slightly confused, seeing as I haven't ordered anything in a long while from them, so I opened it, and couldn't believe the words I was reading! The lovely ladies at Concrete Minerals LOVE my work, and offered me to be the new 'eyes' for their expansion to bigger, and better websites!
So basically, MY eyes will be the color swatches, for all of the eyeshadows they release on these websites. Shock, honor, and excitement! Along with that amazing news, they also sent me FULL SIZES of their colors I don't have, in order to complete the swatches. I've been working on the swatches for the colors I own, and today, I got my amazing Makeup Mail package from them!

It really is an honor, a dream come true, to have an amazing company approach me, and ask me to be a part of something huge like this! First, Concrete Minerals, next, THE WORLD! I will have to do another post linking to to website my eyeballs will be debuting on, but until then, I'm going to be busy busy playing with all of this makeup!

Zombie Girls

So I've have the Zombie Girl Collection from the lovely Concrete Minerals cosmetics company since Christmas, and every day I'm loving it more and more!
Obviously, more than being a makeup fanatic, I'm also a HUGE Zombie/Horror movie fanatic. Always have been! So when I saw this collection, I knew I HAD to have it! The tin the shadows come in is gorgeous, I'm still keeping my shadows in it, since I really have nowhere cooler for them to go!

The collection includes six, gorgeous, mineral eyeshadows, with names befitting of any scream queen!

-Graveyard - a gorgeous, medium brown with shimmer

-Living Dead - A lime green with goldish shimmer
-Quarantine - A light, baby pink, although it can be intensified if used wet!
-Nightmare - My personal favorite of the bunch. An intense purple with blue shimmer to it! So gorgeous.

-The Vaccine - A light, steel blue. I would call it a grey with a blue undertone. So unique.

-Blood And Guts - This one wins overall best name! xD This is a brick-red base, with gorgeous teal duo chrome to it. What more could you ask for?!

Using Living Dead, Nightmare, and Quarantine

I was so excited to finally get these! It took some getting used to, I had to keep reminding myself that they are mineral eyeshadows, so they aren't intense right off the bat. It takes some working, using them wet, with a sticky base, some clever tricks to get them to really pop. But when you do want them to pop, oh, they sure do!
A great thing about them is that they can be subtle, or they can be bright and dramatic! Really versatile. Over all I am extremely happy with these. I will be ordering from Concrete Minerals again!!!
